Ingredients

  • Pork shoulder (thinly sliced) - 300 grams
  • Coconut aminos - 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Cilantro (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime (juiced) - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili flakes (optional) - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green onions (sliced) - 2 stalks
  • Cooking oil (for grilling) - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine coconut aminos, minced garlic, fish sauce, black pepper, cilantro, lime juice, and chili flakes to create the marinade.
  2. Add the thinly sliced pork shoulder to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium heat and lightly coat with cooking oil.
  4. Remove pork from the marinade and place on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and slightly charred.
  5. Once cooked, remove from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes before slicing.
  6. Serve Moo Yang garnished with sliced green onions and extra cilantro on the side.
