- Thai bird's eye chili - 2, finely chopped
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce (vegetarian) - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Bell pepper (red or green) - 1, sliced
- Green beans - 100 grams, trimmed and chopped
- Basil leaves (Thai basil if available) - 1 cup, loosely packed
- Cooked jasmine rice - 2 cups, for serving
Steps
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and chopped bird's eye chili to the pan, stir-frying for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the vegetarian minced soy protein, stirring to combine and cook for 3-4 minutes until heated through.
- Stir in the sliced bell pepper and chopped green beans, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet crisp.
- Pour in the soy sauce and vegetarian oyster sauce, mixing well to coat all ingredients.
- Remove from heat and fold in the basil leaves until wilted.
- Serve the Moo Pad Krapow Jay hot over cooked jasmine rice.
