  • Massaman curry paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Coconut milk - 2 tablespoons
  • Whole grain burger buns - 2
  • Cucumber - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Fresh cilantro - ¼ cup, chopped
  • Lettuce leaves - 2 large
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, Massaman curry paste, coconut milk, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly in the skillet or oven.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on each bun, followed by the cooked patty, sliced cucumber, red onion, and chopped cilantro.
  6. Serve with a wedge of lime on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
