Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 250 grams
  • Red onion - 1 small, finely sliced
  • Fresh mint leaves - 30 grams, chopped
  • Fresh cilantro - 30 grams, chopped
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Roasted rice powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Cucumber - 1 small, sliced (for serving)
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for serving)

Steps

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then crumble it into small pieces.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat, and add the minced garlic, cooking until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  3. Add the crumbled tofu to the skillet, stirring occasionally until it is golden brown (approximately 8-10 minutes).
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked tofu, red onion, mint leaves, cilantro, lime juice, soy sauce, chili flakes, and roasted rice powder.
  5. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  6. Serve the larb tofu mixture on a bed of lettuce leaves, garnished with cucumber slices on the side.
