Ingredients

  • Duck breast - 300 grams
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Shallots - 2, thinly sliced
  • Fresh mint leaves - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Cilantro leaves - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Toasted rice powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves - for serving

Steps

  1. 1. Begin by cooking the duck breast. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the duck breast skin-side down. Cook for about 6-8 minutes until the skin is crispy, then flip and cook for an additional 4-6 minutes until cooked through. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before finely chopping.
  2. 2. In a bowl, combine lime juice, fish sauce, chili flakes, and toasted rice powder to create the dressing.
  3. 3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped duck, shallots, mint, cilantro, and green onions.
  4. 4. Pour the dressing over the duck mixture and toss well to combine all the ingredients evenly.
  5. 5. Serve the larb ped on a bed of lettuce leaves, garnishing with additional herbs if desired.
