Ingredients

  • Ground pork - 250 grams

  • Shallots - 2, finely sliced
  • Fresh mint leaves - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Green onions - 2, sliced
  • Roasted rice powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Sugar - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 4, for serving
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon, for grilling

Steps

  1. In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add the ground pork to the skillet and cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Once the pork is cooked, remove it from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked pork, lime juice, fish sauce, red chili flakes, shallots, roasted rice powder, sugar, mint, cilantro, and green onions. Mix well.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more fish sauce or lime juice if desired.
  6. Serve the larb in lettuce leaves, using them as wraps.
