  • Fresh cilantro - 15 grams, chopped
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground toasted rice - 1 tablespoon
  • Burger buns - 2 whole grain buns
  • Cucumber - 50 grams, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves - 2 large leaves
  • Sriracha sauce - for serving (optional)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground pork, minced garlic, chopped shallots, mint, cilantro, lime juice, fish sauce, chili flakes, and ground toasted rice. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal patties.
  3. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and browned.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly if desired.
  5. Assemble each burger by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by the cooked pork patty, cucumber slices, and a drizzle of Sriracha sauce if using. Top with the other half of the bun.
