Steps
- Cook the jasmine rice according to package instructions and set aside to cool.
- In a large frying pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and chopped chilies, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the diced red bell pepper, carrot, and mushrooms, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Add the cooked rice to the pan, breaking up any clumps, and stir-fry for about 2 minutes.
- Pour in the soy sauce and vegetarian oyster sauce, mixing well to combine all the ingredients.
- Toss in the fresh Thai basil leaves and chopped green onions, stirring until the basil is wilted.
