Ingredients
- Sticky rice - 200 grams
- Pork tenderloin (kosher) - 200 grams
- Soy sauce (kosher) - 2 tablespoons
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Cucumber, sliced - 1 small
- Lime wedges - 2
- Water - 300 milliliters
Steps
- Rinse the sticky rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for at least 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, black pepper, and sesame oil. Cut the pork into thin slices and marinate it in the mixture for at least 15 minutes.
- Drain the soaked sticky rice and steam it in a bamboo or metal steamer over boiling water for about 20-25 minutes until fully cooked and sticky.
- While the rice is steaming, heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the pork from the marinade and cook it in the skillet for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Once the sticky rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and divide it into two bowls. Top each bowl with the cooked pork slices.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with cucumber slices and lime wedges on the side.
