Ingredients

  • Sticky rice - 150 grams
  • Pork tenderloin, thinly sliced - 200 grams
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Fish sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
  • Cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime wedges - 2 pieces
  • Chili flakes (optional) - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Rinse the sticky rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Drain the soaked rice and steam it in a bamboo or metal steamer for about 20 minutes until fully cooked and sticky.
  3. While the rice is steaming, marinate the pork slices in a mixture of soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, and minced garlic for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add the marinated pork and stir-fry until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked sticky rice to the skillet with the pork, and stir gently to combine, allowing the flavors to meld for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in chopped green onions and cilantro.
  7. Serve hot with lime wedges and a sprinkle of chili flakes if desired.
