Ingredients

  • Rice flour - 100 grams
  • Coconut milk - 150 ml
  • Sugar - 50 grams
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Pandan leaves - 2 pieces (for flavoring)
  • Grated coconut (fresh or desiccated) - 50 grams
  • Water - 100 ml

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the rice flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Gradually add the coconut milk and water to the flour mixture, stirring until smooth and well combined.
  3. Prepare a steamer and bring water to a boil. Line small cups or molds with pandan leaves or lightly greased parchment paper.
  4. Pour a tablespoon of the rice flour mixture into each cup, then add a teaspoon of grated coconut on top.
  5. Cover with more rice flour mixture, filling the cups to about 3/4 full.
  6. Place the cups in the steamer and steam for about 20-25 minutes until the mixture is set and firm.
  7. Remove from the steamer and let them cool slightly before serving.
