  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch - 20 grams
  • Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the steamer and prepare a heatproof dish or mold by greasing it lightly with oil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the rice flour, cornstarch, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the coconut milk, pandan juice, water, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring continuously until a smooth batter forms.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared dish or mold, and place it in the steamer.
  6. Steam on medium heat for about 30 minutes or until the custard is set and firm to the touch.
  7. Once done, remove from the steamer and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing into squares or rectangles.
