Ingredients
- Rice flour - 100 grams
- Tapioca flour - 30 grams
- Coconut milk - 200 ml
- Water - 100 ml
- Palm sugar - 50 grams
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Banana leaves - for wrapping
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the rice flour, tapioca flour, and salt.
- Gradually add the coconut milk and water to the flour mixture, stirring until smooth and lump-free.
- In a saucepan, gently heat the palm sugar with a tablespoon of water until it dissolves completely, then mix it into the batter.
- Prepare small squares of banana leaves by cutting them into 10x10 cm pieces. Lightly steam the banana leaves to make them pliable.
- Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the batter onto the center of each banana leaf square, then fold the edges over to create a small packet.
- Place the packets in a steamer and steam for about 20-25 minutes until the batter is fully cooked and set.
- Remove from the steamer and let them cool slightly before serving.
