Ingredients
- Sticky rice - 100 grams
- Coconut milk - 200 ml
- Sugar - 50 grams
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 100 ml
Steps
- Rinse the sticky rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for at least 30 minutes.
- Drain the soaked rice and steam it for about 30 minutes, or until the rice is fully cooked and sticky.
- In a saucepan, combine the coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Heat over low heat until the sugar dissolves, but do not boil.
- Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a mixing bowl and pour half of the sweetened coconut milk mixture over it. Stir well to combine.
- To serve, place a portion of the sticky rice on a plate, drizzle with the remaining coconut milk, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
