Ingredients

  • Sticky rice - 100 grams
  • Coconut milk - 200 ml
  • Sugar - 50 grams
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 100 ml

Steps

  1. Rinse the sticky rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Drain the soaked rice and steam it for about 30 minutes, or until the rice is fully cooked and sticky.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Heat over low heat until the sugar dissolves, but do not boil.
  4. Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a mixing bowl and pour half of the sweetened coconut milk mixture over it. Stir well to combine.
  5. To serve, place a portion of the sticky rice on a plate, drizzle with the remaining coconut milk, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
