- Glutinous rice flour - 100 g
- Coconut milk - 150 ml
- Sugar - 50 g
- Salt - 1/4 tsp
- Water - 100 ml
- Sesame seeds - 2 tbsp
- Banana leaves - 2 pieces (for wrapping)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour, sugar, and salt. Gradually add the coconut milk and water, mixing until a smooth batter forms.
- Prepare a steamer and bring water to a boil. Line small bowls or cups with banana leaves for steaming.
- Pour the batter into the lined bowls, filling them about 3/4 full. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of each bowl.
- Place the bowls in the steamer and cover with a lid. Steam for about 25-30 minutes or until the batter is set and firm.
- Once cooked, remove the bowls from the steamer and let them cool for a few minutes. Carefully unmold the desserts from the bowls and serve warm or at room temperature.
