Ingredients
- Rice flour - 100 grams
- Tapioca flour - 30 grams
- Water - 150 ml
- Tofu (firm) - 100 grams, crumbled
- Shiitake mushrooms - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Carrot - 30 grams, finely grated
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Chopped green onions - 2 tablespoons
- Cilantro - 1 tablespoon, chopped
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the rice flour, tapioca flour, and water to form a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix the crumbled tofu, chopped shiitake mushrooms, grated carrot, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, green onions, and cilantro until well combined.
- Divide the dough into small balls (about 20 grams each) and flatten each ball into a small circle about 5 cm in diameter.
- Place a tablespoon of the filling in the center of each dough circle, then fold the edges up and pinch to seal the dumpling.
- Prepare a steamer and line it with parchment paper. Place the dumplings in the steamer, leaving space between them.
- Steam the dumplings over boiling water for about 15-20 minutes, or until the dough becomes translucent.
- Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
