- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Lemongrass - 1 stalk, finely chopped
- Kaffir lime leaves - 2 leaves, finely chopped
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Chili paste (Nam Prik Pao) - 1 tablespoon
- Coconut flour - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
- Sliced cucumber - 100 grams (for topping)
- Sliced tomato - 100 grams (for topping)
- Avocado - 1 medium (for topping)
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, minced garlic, chopped lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, fish sauce, chili paste, coconut flour, salt, black pepper, and chopped cilantro. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into two equal parts and shape them into burger patties.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Cook the burger patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the toppings by slicing the cucumber, tomato, and avocado.
- Once the burgers are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To serve, place each burger patty on a large lettuce leaf and top with sliced cucumber, tomato, and avocado. Wrap the lettuce around the burger and enjoy!
