Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Lemongrass - 1 stalk, finely chopped
  • Kaffir lime leaves - 2 leaves, finely chopped
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili paste (Nam Prik Pao) - 1 tablespoon
  • Coconut flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
  • Sliced cucumber - 100 grams (for topping)
  • Sliced tomato - 100 grams (for topping)
  • Avocado - 1 medium (for topping)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, minced garlic, chopped lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, fish sauce, chili paste, coconut flour, salt, black pepper, and chopped cilantro. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal parts and shape them into burger patties.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Cook the burger patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the toppings by slicing the cucumber, tomato, and avocado.
  5. Once the burgers are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. To serve, place each burger patty on a large lettuce leaf and top with sliced cucumber, tomato, and avocado. Wrap the lettuce around the burger and enjoy!
