Ingredients
- Ground beef - 400 grams
- Panang curry paste - 2 tablespoons
- Coconut cream - 100 ml
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
- Cilantro - a handful, chopped
- Peanuts - 30 grams, crushed (for topping)
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, Panang curry paste, minced garlic, grated ginger, fish sauce, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the Panang sauce by combining coconut cream and an additional tablespoon of Panang curry paste in a small saucepan. Heat gently until warmed through, stirring to combine.
- Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To assemble, place each beef patty in a large lettuce leaf, drizzle with the warm Panang sauce, and top with crushed peanuts and chopped cilantro.
- Wrap the lettuce around the burger and serve immediately.
