Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Almond flour - 30 grams
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Green onion - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
  • Peanuts - 20 grams, chopped (optional for garnish)
  • Sriracha sauce - to taste (optional)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, almond flour, garlic powder, fish sauce, lime juice, chopped cilantro, chopped green onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps by rinsing and drying the lettuce leaves.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing each patty inside two large lettuce leaves. Top with chopped peanuts and drizzle with Sriracha sauce if desired.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with extra cilantro and lime wedges on the side.
