Ingredients
- Ground pork - 300 grams
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Thai bird's eye chili - 2, finely chopped
- Soy sauce (or coconut aminos for keto) - 2 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce (optional) - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh basil leaves - 30 grams, roughly chopped
- Eggs - 2 large
- Avocado oil - 1 tablespoon
- Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 4 large
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a skillet, heat the avocado oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped bird's eye chili, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the ground pork to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, approximately 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using), then add the chopped basil. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes until the basil wilts. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- While the pork is cooking, fry the eggs in a separate pan to your desired doneness (sunny-side up or over-easy is recommended).
- To assemble the burgers, take a large lettuce leaf and add a portion of the pork mixture on top. Place a fried egg on top of the pork, and garnish with cucumber slices.
- Wrap the lettuce around the filling to create a burger and serve immediately.
