Ingredients

  • Rice flour - 50 grams
  • Tapioca starch - 25 grams
  • Coconut milk - 200 ml
  • Sugar - 50 grams
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Water - 150 ml
  • Pandan leaves (optional) - 1 leaf

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, tapioca starch, sugar, and salt. Gradually add water and whisk until smooth.
  2. In a saucepan, heat coconut milk with a pinch of salt until warm, then remove from heat.
  3. Divide the rice flour mixture into small cups, filling them about 3/4 full.
  4. Pour the warm coconut milk over the rice flour mixture in each cup, filling to the top.
  5. Place the cups in a steamer or a pot with a steaming rack. Cover and steam for about 20-25 minutes on medium heat until set.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Optionally, garnish with pandan leaves.
