Ingredients
- Jasmine rice - 100 grams
- Water - 250 ml
- Carrot - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Green beans - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Mushrooms - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Cilantro - a handful, chopped
- Chili flakes - to taste
Steps
- Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then drain.
- In a pot, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and water is absorbed.
- While the rice is cooking, heat a pan over medium heat and add sesame oil.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the chopped carrots, green beans, and mushrooms. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and combine it with the sautéed vegetables in the pan. Mix well.
- Add soy sauce, chopped green onion, and cilantro to the mixture, stirring until everything is evenly coated.
- Serve hot, garnished with chili flakes to taste.
