Ingredients

  • Jasmine rice - 100 grams
  • Water - 250 ml
  • Carrot - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Green beans - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Mushrooms - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Cilantro - a handful, chopped
  • Chili flakes - to taste

Steps

  1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then drain.
  2. In a pot, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and water is absorbed.
  3. While the rice is cooking, heat a pan over medium heat and add sesame oil.
  4. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the chopped carrots, green beans, and mushrooms. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  6. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and combine it with the sautéed vegetables in the pan. Mix well.
  7. Add soy sauce, chopped green onion, and cilantro to the mixture, stirring until everything is evenly coated.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with chili flakes to taste.
