Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • Zucchini - 1 medium, sliced into thick rounds
  • Red onion - 1 small, cut into wedges
  • Wooden skewers - 4, soaked in water for 30 minutes
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. Press the tofu between paper towels to remove excess moisture for about 15 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chili flakes to create the marinade.
  3. Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch cubes and add it to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. While the tofu is marinating, prepare the vegetables by cutting them into the specified sizes.
  5. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  6. Once marinated, thread the tofu and vegetables alternately onto the soaked skewers.
  7. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the tofu is golden and the vegetables are slightly charred.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
