- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1-inch thick slices.
- In a bowl, mix together tamarind paste, soy sauce, maple syrup, lime juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the tofu slices in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush with sesame oil to prevent sticking.
