- Agave syrup - 1 tablespoon (15ml)
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon (15ml)
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (15ml)
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon (2g)
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon (1g)
Steps
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 200°C or 400°F).
- Cut the cauliflower into thick slices, about 1.5 cm each, to create 'steaks'.
- In a mixing bowl, combine tamarind paste, soy sauce, agave syrup, lime juice, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the cauliflower steaks to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Place the marinated cauliflower steaks on the preheated grill. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until tender and grill marks appear.
- Once cooked, remove the cauliflower from the grill and sprinkle with fresh cilantro before serving.
