Ingredients

  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons (for garnish)
  • Lime wedges - 2 (for serving)
  • Chili sauce - 2 tablespoons (for dipping)

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Toss the tofu cubes in the cornstarch mixture until evenly coated.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry the tofu cubes in batches until they are golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Once cooked, transfer the tofu to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve the crispy tofu garnished with fresh cilantro, lime wedges, and chili sauce for dipping.
