Ingredients
- Firm tofu - 250 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh mint - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons (for frying)

- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
- Sriracha or chili sauce - 1 tablespoon (optional)
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 2 equal patties.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, cilantro, mint, ground coriander, and ground cumin.
- Marinate the tofu patties in the mixture for at least 10 minutes.
- After marinating, coat the tofu patties with cornstarch evenly on both sides.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the tofu patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Toast the burger buns lightly on a separate pan or in an oven.
- Assemble the burger by placing the fried tofu patty on the bottom half of the bun, adding lettuce, sliced tomato, and cucumber, and drizzling with sriracha or chili sauce if desired.
