Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sriracha sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh cilantro - A handful, chopped
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Press the tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, Sriracha, minced garlic, grated ginger, lime juice, brown sugar, red chili flakes, and sesame oil to create a marinade.
  4. Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and toss gently to coat. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  5. Place the marinated tofu on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until the tofu is golden and crispy.
  7. Once done, remove the tofu from the oven and garnish with chopped cilantro, green onions, and sesame seeds.
  8. Serve hot with steamed rice or a fresh salad.
