Ingredients

  • Shrimp - 200 grams, peeled and deveined
  • Chickpea flour - 100 grams
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Green onion - 1, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Egg - 1, large
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons, for frying
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the chickpea flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the egg and water together until well mixed.
  3. Add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
  4. Fold in the shrimp, parsley, green onion, and garlic until evenly distributed.
  5. Heat olive oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Spoon tablespoon-sized portions of the batter into the pan, flattening them slightly.
  7. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the pan and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  9. Serve warm with a squeeze of lemon juice or your favorite dipping sauce.
