Ingredients

  • Potatoes - 400 grams, peeled and diced
  • Chickpea flour - 50 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Boil the diced potatoes in salted water for about 15 minutes or until tender. Drain and let them cool slightly.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the cooked potatoes until smooth.
  3. Add chickpea flour, olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, chopped parsley, and lemon juice to the mashed potatoes. Mix until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into patties, about 1 cm thick.
  5. Preheat a BBQ grill on medium heat and lightly oil the grates.
  6. Grill the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with additional parsley and a squeeze of lemon if desired.
