  • Water - 150 ml
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix together the chickpea flour, water, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper until you have a smooth batter.
  2. Chop the shrimp into small pieces and fold them into the batter along with the chopped parsley.
  3. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat until shimmering.
  4. Spoon small amounts of the shrimp batter into the hot oil, forming fritters about 5 cm in diameter.
  5. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crisp.
  6. Remove the fritters from the pan and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  7. Serve warm with a wedge of lemon or your favorite dipping sauce.
