- Unsalted butter - 50 grams
- Granulated sugar - 50 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Milk - 100 ml
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - a pinch
- Powdered sugar - for dusting
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, and mix until smooth.
- Fold in half of the pomegranate seeds into the batter.
- Pour the batter into a greased 20 cm (8-inch) tart pan and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining pomegranate seeds on top of the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the tart cool for 10 minutes before transferring it to a serving plate.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
