Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 100 grams
  • Unsalted margarine - 50 grams
  • Powdered sugar - 30 grams
  • Salt - 1 gram
  • Cold water - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh strawberries - 200 grams
  • Sugar - 50 grams
  • Cornstarch - 15 grams
  • Almond milk - 150 ml
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, margarine, powdered sugar, and salt until crumbly. Gradually add cold water until the dough forms.
  2. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface and fit it into a 20 cm tart pan.
  4. Prick the bottom with a fork and bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden. Allow to cool.
  5. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, almond milk, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Stir until thickened and bubbly.
  6. Pour the strawberry mixture into the cooled crust and spread evenly.
  7. Chill the tart in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  8. Slice and serve, garnished with additional fresh strawberries if desired.
