- Beef shank - 300 grams
- Water - 1.5 liters

- Cabbage - 100 grams, shredded
- Tomato - 1 medium, diced
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lime - 1, juiced
Steps
- In a large pot, combine the beef shank and water; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 1 hour to tenderize the beef.
- Add chopped carrots, potato, celery, onion, and minced garlic to the pot.
- Continue to simmer for another 20 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the shredded cabbage and diced tomato, and season with salt and black pepper.
- Cook for an additional 10 minutes until the cabbage is wilted.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped cilantro and lime juice before serving.
