- Chickpeas - 100 grams, cooked (optional for added protein)
Steps
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion, garlic, carrot, and celery until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the cumin, salt, and black pepper, stirring for another minute to release the spices' aroma.
- Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Add the green peas and chickpeas (if using) and reduce heat to a simmer.
- Cook for 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the peas to soften.
