  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Lemon - 1, juiced

Steps

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion, garlic, carrot, and celery to the pot and sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in the diced red bell pepper and tomato, cooking for another 3 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle in the paprika and cayenne pepper, and mix well to combine with the vegetables.
  5. Pour in the broth and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  6. Add the fresh crab meat and let the soup simmer for an additional 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  7. Season with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to taste.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley just before serving.
