- Granulated sugar - 50 grams
- Cinnamon powder - 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Raisins - 30 grams
- Butter (for greasing) - 10 grams
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a small baking dish with butter.
- Tear the stale bread into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, lemon zest, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the milk mixture over the bread and let it soak for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure all the bread is saturated.
