Ingredients

  • Arborio rice - 100 grams
  • Water - 500 milliliters
  • Milk - 200 milliliters
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Almonds (sliced) - 20 grams
  • Raisins - 30 grams
  • Vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Rinse the Arborio rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the saucepan. Simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the rice is tender and has absorbed most of the water.
  4. Add the milk, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla extract to the cooked rice. Stir well and continue to cook over low heat for another 5 minutes, allowing the porridge to thicken.
  5. Remove from heat and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Serve warm in bowls, topped with sliced almonds and raisins.
