Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Firm tofu - 150 grams
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Green bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Fresh basil - for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. Press the firm tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into small cubes.
  3. In a bowl, mix the tofu cubes with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  4. In a pan over medium heat, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the sliced red and green bell peppers for about 5 minutes until they are slightly softened.
  5. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a round shape. Place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  6. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough.
  7. Distribute the marinated tofu and sautéed bell peppers evenly over the sauce.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  10. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes, then garnish with fresh basil before slicing and serving.
