- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Tomato sauce - 100 grams
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 100 grams
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Fresh basil leaves - for garnish
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
- Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell peppers to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender. Season with salt, black pepper, and dried oregano.
- Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Distribute the shredded chicken evenly over the sauce, followed by the sautéed bell peppers.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the pizza.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes before garnishing with fresh basil leaves. Slice and serve.
