Ingredients

  • Cauliflower - 400 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese (shredded) - 150 grams
  • Parmesan cheese (grated) - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Jamón Ibérico (thinly sliced) - 100 grams
  • Fresh basil leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower, then chop it into florets.
  3. Steam the cauliflower florets for about 10 minutes until tender, then drain and let cool.
  4. Once cooled, place the steamed cauliflower in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the squeezed cauliflower, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until a dough forms.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the cauliflower mixture into a round pizza shape, about 1/2 inch thick.
  7. Brush the crust with olive oil and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Remove the crust from the oven and spread the tomato sauce evenly over the top.
  9. Layer the Jamón Ibérico over the sauce and return the pizza to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes until the ham is slightly warmed.
