- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Tomato sauce - 100 grams
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Zucchini - 1 small, sliced
- Red onion - 1/2 medium, thinly sliced
- Nutritional yeast - 2 tablespoons (optional for cheesy flavor)
- Fresh basil - for garnish
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a small bowl, mix the ground flaxseed with water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to thicken.
- In a food processor, combine the drained chickpeas, ground oats, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and the flax mixture. Blend until a smooth dough forms.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the chickpea dough into a round pizza shape, about 1 cm thick.
- Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until it is firm and slightly golden.
- Remove the crust from the oven and spread the tomato sauce evenly over the top.
- Arrange the sliced bell pepper, zucchini, and red onion on top of the sauce.
- Sprinkle nutritional yeast over the vegetables if using.
- Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil, slice, and serve hot.
