Ingredients

  • Whole wheat pizza dough - 250 grams
  • Fresh spinach - 200 grams
  • Tomato sauce - 150 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Nutritional yeast - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (430°F).
  2. Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the rolled dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic and sliced red onion until fragrant and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, black pepper, and oregano.
  6. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough.
  7. Distribute the sautéed spinach mixture over the sauce, followed by the halved cherry tomatoes.
  8. Sprinkle nutritional yeast over the top for a cheesy flavor.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crispy.
  10. Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, slice, and serve warm.
