Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 200 grams

  • Canned diced tomatoes - 200 grams
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Calamari rings - 200 grams
  • Red bell pepper - 1/2, sliced
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.
  3. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add the canned diced tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. In another pan, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat and add the calamari rings. Cook for 2-3 minutes until opaque and tender. Remove from heat.
  6. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough.
  7. Top the sauce with the cooked calamari, sliced red bell pepper, and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, slice, and serve hot.
