  • Ground beef - 200 grams
  • Cooked rice - 100 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Cheese (optional) - 50 grams, grated

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in the cooked rice, tomato sauce, paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, and parsley. Mix well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Stuff each bell pepper with the meat and rice mixture, packing it down slightly. Place the stuffed peppers upright in a baking dish.
  7. If desired, sprinkle grated cheese on top of each stuffed pepper.
  8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the peppers are tender and the cheese is golden.
  10. Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
