Ingredients

  • Duck breast - 2 pieces (about 300g each)
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
  2. Score the skin of the duck breasts in a crisscross pattern, being careful not to cut into the meat.
  3. Place the duck breasts in the marinade, ensuring they are well coated, and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Place the duck breasts skin-side down on the grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes, until the skin is crispy and golden.
  6. Flip the duck breasts and grill for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or longer if desired.
  7. Remove the duck from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  8. Serve the duck slices garnished with chopped parsley.
