  • Spaghetti - 200 grams
  • Calamari (cleaned and sliced) - 250 grams
  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic (minced) - 3 cloves
  • Cherry tomatoes (halved) - 200 grams
  • White wine (optional) - 100 ml
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Fresh parsley (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon (for serving) - 1

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the calamari to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they start to turn opaque.
  4. Stir in the cherry tomatoes and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the tomatoes soften.
  5. If using, pour in the white wine and let it simmer for 2 minutes to reduce slightly. Add paprika, salt, and black pepper to taste.
  6. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.
