- Dried figs - 200 grams
- Walnuts - 50 grams
- Almonds - 50 grams
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Nutmeg - 1/4 teaspoon
- Oats - 50 grams
- Orange zest - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 100 milliliters
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a small loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, soak the dried figs in warm water for about 10 minutes to soften them, then drain and chop them coarsely.
- In a food processor, combine the soaked figs, walnuts, almonds, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, oats, orange zest, and 100 ml of water. Blend until the mixture is well combined but still chunky.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cool, slice the fig bread into pieces and serve as desired.
