Ingredients

  • Hake fillets - 300 grams
  • Potatoes - 300 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium (approximately 150 grams)
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Water - 500 milliliters

Steps

  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into 1 cm thick slices. Slice the onion and mince the garlic.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the sliced potatoes to the skillet and stir to combine with the onions and garlic. Season with salt and pepper, and add paprika. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in the water, cover, and let the potatoes simmer for about 15 minutes, or until they are tender.
  5. Once the potatoes are cooked, gently place the hake fillets on top of the potatoes. Drizzle with the remaining olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cover the skillet again and cook for an additional 10 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
