Steps
- Wash and trim the green beans, removing the stem ends.
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and add the green beans. Blanch for about 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
- Drain the green beans and immediately plunge them into a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain again after a few minutes.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the blanched green beans to the skillet and toss them in the garlic oil for about 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Slice the Jamón Serrano into small pieces and add it to the skillet, mixing well with the green beans.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste, and drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
